28 mm Torque-Tight™ Lug Nut Indicators (also fits 1-1/8")
Our 28 mm Torque-Tight™ loose lug nut indicators provide a fast, visual way to confirm wheel nut movement on Class 3–5 trucks and specialty equipment. Because sizes around this range are close (27–29 mm), measuring correctly is critical. If you’re unsure, check our How to Measure guide before ordering.
Cross-size note: 28 mm across-flats is commonly paired with a 1-1/8" socket. These indicators are designed to fit standard 28 mm hex nuts and most 1-1/8" hex nuts of the same profile.

Sizing & Fitment
Order by the across-flats size of the hex nut (not the stud diameter). If you don’t have the right socket handy, use calipers and measure directly across the flats.
- Measure the hex across the flats — not point-to-point.
- Confirm whether the nut is metric (mm) or inch sized.
- If your reading is near 28 mm and you typically use a 1-1/8" socket, this size is likely correct.

We use these on f 550 and they are the only loose wheel indicators that we have found that we can still check torque on the lug nuts without removing the indicators. And they stay on no matter what kind of areas we drive through.
